The Auchentoshan Distillery was founded in 1823 and is Scotland's only distillery to practice triple distillation which makes it well worth a visit. The Glengoyne Distillery is only 15 miles from the centre in an undeniably beautiful location. You can reach it by bus from the city centre, which will take you about an hour. If you would prefer something a little closer to the city center, visit the Kilpatrick Distillery which is only 10 miles away.

With over 1500 stores, Glasgow is the 2nd largest retail centre in the UK, outside of London's West End.
