If you like visiting museums the Prague City Museum, National Technical Museum and the Museum of Decorative Arts are all situated close by each other and well worth visiting. The City Museum is devoted to the history of the area from prehistoric times up to the present day and is well worth visiting to learn more about this fascinating city. Another great museum to check out is the Veletrzni Palace which is home to four floors of modern art.
If you enjoy sampling local foods and wines the wine food market is an essential part of your trip, sample as many of the tasty dishes on offer as possible and snap up some food or drink bargains. You'll also see local farmers' markets in the streets as you tour the city in the week. When you visit the Old Square don't forget to view the Orloj, one of the oldest astronomical clocks in the world and the only one still operating perfectly. It's mounted on the wall of the Old Town Hall and is a popular attraction. Stroll around the Palace gardens when you're visiting or touring the Palace, it's a relaxing park to visit, particularly in summer months.
