Eat! Vancouver (May)

A three day food and cooking festival held at the end of May. Celebrity chefs, cookbook authors and food manufacturers are all on hand to offer advice and give cooking demonstrations. Eat! Vancouver also showcases wines, local and regional beers and other beverages.

TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival (June-July)

This jazz and blues festival is on for ten days at the end of June and the beginning of July. Over 300 concerts are performed in 35 different venues around the city. Over 1800 artists come to perform jazz, funk, fusion, Latin and world music, watched by over 500,000 people.

Celebration of Light (July)

This is the city's main event of the summer. Every year for three nights at the end of July, three countries compete and showcase their firework displays from a floating barge over English Bay. One of the largest firework displays in the world, it entertains and delights thousand every year.

Fringe Festival (September)

This festival is a celebration of all types of theatre. For eleven days in September, the festival produces over 700 performances to over 40,000 visitors. Put on with help from over 500 volunteers, the festival allows newcomers and seasoned veterans to perform in some of the best of the city's venues.
